1 of only 795 1968 Sport Satellite Convertibles produced. Originally, car came with a 383 big block, but the
previous owner thought that the car "needed a Hemi." This is one fun Mopar Hot Rod!
This is a beautiful 1968 Plymouth Satellite "GTX Hemi Recreation" that has been fully restored with a frame off
restoration and custom drivetrain. The custom metallic paint and straight body metal is ready for any local car
show or cruise. The motor is a completely rebuilt custom high performance (Mopar block) 426 Hemi V8 engine at
approximately 525 HP. The motor consists of Indy 426 aluminum heads, dual 4BBL Edlebrock 600 CFM carburetors with
new hand built fuel lines and duel K&N air filters sitting in dual billet aluminum air cleaners. The motor has
refurbished/restored correct black painted Indy Hemi aluminum valve covers and period correct factory style exhaust
manifolds. The list of new accessories includes: all new belts and hoses, wires, plugs, battery, aluminum high flow
water pump, fuel pump, HD polished aluminum radiator and front and rear suspension and bushings with HD sway bars
front and rear. The motor is mounted to a rebuilt 727 -- 3 speed automatic transmission with 3000 stall converter
and rebuilt rear 8¾" rear differential. Rebuilt front and rear disc brakes with dual master cylinders are behind
Cop wheels. All door, hood and trunk gaps show well, and both doors close well and true, with all new rubbers and
window felt kit. The car has a new power black vinyl top with new black vinyl tonneau convertible cover and all of
the chrome/brightwork shows very well and in nearly new condition. Fully functional ram air Hemi hood scoop added
for carburetor clearance, and is accented with custom 426 Hemi script and side pin stripping applied to the
vehicle.
This car will make a great cruiser or show stopper at your local car show or cruise in. The vehicle is located in
Scottsdale, AZ and stored in a climate-controlled facility. Inspections are welcome, at the buyers expense.
